I have recently acquired a painting by F Arnold and an looking for history and/ value of this. Please help me in locating any information. Thanks.

I also have a painting by F. ARNOLD. It is country scene a a woman in a long dress carry a bundle of sticks on her back driving five sheep along a country road alongside a lake. There are trees and house with a thatched roof nearby. I would also like some information about F. ARNOLD. Thispainting probably originated from either England or Scotland about 1900.

Suggest later than 1900 as F Arnold was only aged 12 then.

I too have a painting by F. Arnold - dark with boats - a harbour scene. Has anyone discovered any more information?

I have what appears to be a water colour of his thatched cottage on right sunset with 3 women talking to a man on a horse… It looks like a typical fen scene from the UK, the church on the left of picture is definitely english style, the river and style of boat on the river are typical with the St Ives, and Fen Ditton areas of the uk The cottage style with the reed that is also very common around St Ives area even to Ely as well where this type of reeds grow. The painting is on a linen type paper, has some fading, I would think about 1920's although the frame it was in I would have said 1900, picture size is about 10inches by 18 inches.

I'm in Australia, I have 2 paintings by F Arnold, and everyone loves them. Does anyone actually know anything about this painter?

Hi I have a painting By Jw Gozzard Its a man & woman walking in front of a horse and carriage past a house with a thatched roof on a cloudy night think the date says 1881.

Does anyone know the location of any of JW Gozzards paintings please.

Need advice, had this painting a few years picked up on a car boot sale, love the picture but need to insure, do not trust to many antique dealers, picture of what looks like small boats travelling down working canal houses on both sides thatch roofs, people in very old clothing

Hi I have a painting by JW Gozzard. On the back has been lettered "Fuir Original watercolor Painting by Gozzard - a highly esteemed English Artist". The painting is entitled "Rain and Mist". The setting appears to be an English street scene with carriages and people in the streets and sidewalks walking in the rain. Estimate the painting to be from the late 1800's. I too am looking to find out more about the artist and the value of the painting.
