About the service
Gallart Network is an independent, non-commercial international online Art Gallery and Painters Network. It provides established and emerging painters with a place to present and promote original artwork and gives visitors a way to discover artists working in oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media and other painting techniques.
Gallart is not the seller, buyer, auctioneer or broker of artwork displayed on the site. Its role is to provide artist presentation, discovery and community services.
Artist membership
The current artist membership price is €95 as a one-time payment. There is no recurring Gallart subscription fee. The membership contribution helps cover hosting, e-mail delivery, security, backups, software maintenance, administration, moderation and the continued operation of the international art gallery and painters network.
The price shown when a new membership is purchased applies to that purchase. A later change in the membership price does not create an additional charge for an already activated membership.
“Lifetime membership” means that no recurring membership payment is required and the membership remains active while the Gallart Network service operates, provided the account complies with these Terms. It is not a guarantee that the website, hosting or any particular feature will operate indefinitely without change.
Membership currently provides an artist profile, biography and space for up to 12 artworks. Registered members can use secure member pages to update profile text, artwork titles, techniques, dimensions, availability and prices and to replace artwork images whenever their portfolio changes.
Artist content, artwork and copyright
Artists retain the copyright and other rights they hold in their submitted artwork and text. By submitting content to Gallart, the artist gives Gallart a non-exclusive permission to store, resize, display and technically reproduce that content as needed to operate, index and promote the artist's Gallart gallery.
Artists must submit only material they are entitled to publish. Artwork images, biographies and descriptions must not infringe copyright, privacy, trademark or other rights. Gallart may correct formatting or remove material where necessary to maintain the service or respond to a valid complaint.
Accuracy of artist information
Painters are responsible for keeping their public profile and artwork information reasonably accurate. This includes titles, years, techniques, dimensions, prices and sale status. The self-service artist dashboard is provided so these details can be updated without waiting for manual site administration.
Artwork enquiries and sales
Visitors interested in a painting contact the artist directly. The artist and visitor are responsible for any agreement concerning price, authenticity, payment, shipping, insurance, taxes, returns or other transaction details. Gallart does not take a commission on direct artwork sales and does not guarantee that an artwork will sell or that a visitor or artist will complete a transaction.
Accounts, authentication and security
Users are responsible for providing a valid e-mail address and keeping their login credentials secure. Gallart may require e-mail verification, a password and an additional one-time login code. If a password is forgotten, the Lost Password function can create a new password through a time-limited one-time reset link.
Accounts may be temporarily suspended where needed to investigate security, payment or content problems. Administrative access may be used to correct account data or assist a member in exceptional situations.
Acceptable use
Gallart is intended for art-related use. Accounts, artwork, Message Board posts or submitted links must not be used for spam, malware, fraud, automated abuse, unlawful material, serious harassment, prohibited sexual content, gambling promotion or other content incompatible with an art-focused community. Gallart may reject, hide, suspend, block or remove material or accounts where reasonably necessary.
Voting
Vote for Painters is a community recognition feature rather than a professional ranking or guarantee of artistic quality. A verified visitor may cast up to five votes in each calendar month and no more than one vote for the same painter in the same month. Gallart may remove or correct automated, abusive or erroneous voting activity.
Art Related Message Board
The Message Board is intended for art-related discussion, questions and exchange of information between people interested in painting and visual art. Posts are subject to verification and moderation. Gallart may edit obvious errors, reject inappropriate submissions, remove spam or close material that creates security or legal concerns.
Art Links and third-party websites
Art Links are intended to connect visitors with relevant art galleries, painters, museums, photography, visual culture and related resources. Submitted websites can be checked for relevance, backlinks and restricted content. A listed external website remains independent from Gallart, and Gallart is not responsible for its later content, availability, privacy practices or commercial activity.
Payments
Membership payments are processed by PayPal. Gallart stores only information needed to identify and confirm the membership payment and does not receive or store payment-card details or a user's PayPal password. Any mandatory consumer rights that apply under relevant law remain unaffected by these Terms.
Service availability
Gallart is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. Hosting, layouts, security mechanisms and individual features may be changed when needed for maintenance, safety, compatibility or improvement. Temporary interruptions can occur. Gallart does not promise uninterrupted availability or permanent search-engine placement for an artist or artwork.
Privacy
Use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. The public website avoids exposing the administrative contact e-mail address directly to automated crawlers.
